Greetings:
I expect the attendance at our meetings to start to increase now that colder weather up north is starting to occur and people will want to avoid it. On the other hand, the cooler weather we have experienced recently has been welcomed by most with open arms and shut off air conditioners.
The door prizes this month continue to be great and are:
? 1 TB USB3 portable hard drive
? made for iPhone, iPod, iPad retro styled phone handset a $50 iTunes gift card
? combo pen and stylus
The usual rules will apply; each paid membership will receive one raffle ticket but additional tickets can be purchased at the cost of $1 or 6/$5. Only one prize per membership still applies.
As was previously mentioned, I will not be attending the November meeting but Scott Mugan has possession of the projector cart and the door prizes. I am sorry to have to miss Dean's explanation of Mavericks. I hope everyone received my warning concerning Gmail and Mavericks.
At the November meeting it will be necessary to elect new officers for the coming year. While JoAnn is not sure how many meetings she will be attending in the future she can consented to remaining Treasurer/Secretary. For those meetings she doesn't make we will need someone to check members in and give out and sell the raffle tickets. As for myself, after 15 years as your President I feel somewhat drained. I will be happy to pass the reins to new blood. You also might consider what you want to do party-wise for our December meeting.
The banking problem has been solved. I did receive several suggestions from members concerning possible banks to contact for which I am thankful. I finally selected AmTrust Bank and opened a checking account there. Not only did it have the lowest cost (can't get much better than zero and no minimum balance) but it has numerous branches in both Broward and Palm Beach Counties so future Treasurers will find it convenient.
